  Fantastic ride. Only have grouse about passengers sitting on the side and railings. Little boys and girls almost young to olde; I think it's not safe and please don't wait for an accident to occur until prevention regulations are set up. Wish we could take a one way with bus and taxi rides back in availability...we missed visiting the lakeside gardens as we were in a hurry to get back.

  Tourists must visit this place! The whole journey lasts 20-30 minutes and it's really enjoyable. The scenery and the atmosphere is really great. The elders working there are passionate and super friendly to everyone. They always have a nice smile on their faces and talk to visitors. They are definitely one of the main factors that made me like this place so much. I'll definitely visit again and strongly recommend this place to my relatives and friends who visit Melbourne.

  The view that we saw were breathtaking. It gave us a peak into the countryside without having to walk through it, which is great because my father is elder.

  It's a touristy thing but it is for a reason. We had the 3 course lunch last week on the Puffing Billy Railway. The food was average but the fact that we had it on an old fashion train brought it up a few notches. The wine was very affordable so we got a bottle to share for lunch.

  One of the best places to visit for a family day outing. The coal fired engine trains are awesome and old style. People usually book it in advance. Weekends and holidays are busy since this is a major family attraction. Staff are friendly and helpful. Parking can be difficult on busy days though.

  It's always a good thing to enjoy the ride of this old steam powered train, especially when you put your feet outside of the window and try to smell or touch the forest. You may come directly from CBD by train to station Belgrave, and walk 200 meters to catch Puffing Billy, or you can drive yourself here. Before or after the tour, I would recommend you to try the 1000 steps, walk in treks in rain forest. Amazing experience.

  I was told the people work on the train, in the stations are all volunteers- our service, Faye, was super friendly and helpful. I would recommend and if I was back in the area, I would do it again!
